Welcome to the new community website for Great Wishford

Over time, it is hoped that this site will serve two purposes: as a place to find out about the history of the village and the area, and a place to keep informed of all things current and forthcoming - a kind of linking together of the community in a unique modern way. It could include whole village affairs like Oak Apple Club events, or small things like family announcements.

To this end I have temporarily set up a webpage for any relatives and friends of Annabel Scutt for them to keep up to speed with her gallstone surgery - access the page here

The kind of things you might find out on the street corner, or at the bottom of a pile of paperwork, but it will be on a webpage instead!

It will cost nothing to visit, and never will. As it is run on a voluntary basis by your village web developer, it means time devoted to it will be limited but it is hoped you will never notice this side. Perhaps further on down the line local businesses will feel it is worth sponsoring sections so that more time can be put into keeping it up to the minute - with, for example local sports teams results, fund raising targets, free to a good home' section (no mother-in-law submissions allowed!)
